Bloomii
Bloomii is a 3D artist that focuses on digital sculpting as well as a DJ blending fast, hyper-cute and chaotic elements from the hardcore genre. For them, the idea of Kawaii provides a way to look at the world through a different lens. They take heavy inspiration from the themes of Yume Kawaii – to be able to encapsulate a euphoric dreamlike feeling- and how to bring that sensation about in reality.
A novel is currently in development that focuses on the creatures and spaces that Bloomii centres their work around, mainly honing in on the story of a shy floral mouse named Core who lives in the land of Fiiora. Pieces displayed are depictions of the spaces that Core dreamily dwells in – a realm she dubs “The Oblivion flora”. Much is unknown about this domain – but Core is finding that the Oblivion is conjured with the animation of her senses- something she can only do by exploring Fiiora and her place within it. Using a combination of different physicalities with 3D sculpting, real life objects (mainly flowers) and textures as well as traditional mediums – Bloomii hopes to achieve an invocation of another world that isn’t seen but often felt within – to explore what it means to feel, and to be. We hope you can boundary hop with Core and everyone else who lives in Fiiora!
